Actor Katherine Heigl is opening her mind about being born into the "white bubble" and how the realisation has impacted how she parents her adopted multiracial children. The actress from "Firefly Lane" spoke to a reporter that it didn't matter how dark her skin color was for her. However, after meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences in the way people treated her and her. Meg was asked whether her treatment was different in the times they went out with their parents and then in the case of going out on their own. Meg replied "Oh yes! All the all the time!" Heigl spoke to Parents about how she realized her naivet . Heigl admitted she became angry and felt that it was important to focus her anger towards helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl has a son who is four years and Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. In 2009, they adopted Nancy Leigh (12), a daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 an African-American child) in 2012.
