Laura Linney, best known for portraying strong, but weak characters, is among of the most acclaimed American actors of today. As a teenager, she spent her time at the house of her father and gaining an interest in the theater. While in Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. After graduating from Brown University she made making her Broadway debut soon afterward. After two years of the time, her debut film hit the market, and following year, her debut on television. Over the past few years she has appeared in a variety of TV productions, films and stage plays. Through her entire professional career, she's received numerous awards. These comprise two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. But despite the many awards, her passion for theater is still there constant, as she still performs onscreen and onstage.
