Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My son played inside a playpen, while I sat for 12 hours in sanding floors and removing wallpaper. Ha! The home was starting to look good, but there were still many things left. It would take lots of time and a love of shopping. To keep within my budget I took my sons with me to look for gems hidden in estate sales. Our routine for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage and estate sales to purchase a mix of antique and brand new furniture as well as spending weekends painting and sanding the driveway. It was a bit like the picture below... This was the time my love of restoration of furniture started. Although our house was decorated, I was unable to stop. In the market in town I set up a little area and then sold a few pieces. It was possible to expand my space because I owned plenty of pieces that I was able to use. Then I began hosting open houses at my house where over 1 000 people could visit in a single weekend and could purchase whatever they saw in the first floor. Growing Days was created in this home. Alongside my flourishing company, I also started our family. In some ways, I was able to find the perfect way to balance being a mom as well as starting my own venture. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora my fourth child was born in 2013. This was an excellent direction for my business but I also needed an escape. I took a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and I slowed down my speed to be at home to raise the children. This was precisely what I required. Within a couple of months, the phone began to begin to. The people who called me were seeking help for the interior decoration and renovations. A majority of them visited my home in my open houses for furniture. Once I had a few months I began to take on customers according to my schedule. Soon I had several accounts and a home renovations business. When you first spoke to me about my business in home renovation I was astonished. Indeed, I am laughing slightly when I recall the story.
