Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child in a family of four. Her parents encouraged her parents, dentist, and a teacher who were both teachers to pursue her passion for acting. This was in contrast with her previous desire to pursue a career as a primateologist since she adored monkeys. As a young woman rising to the heights of fame was quick and accompanied by initial recognition and success. After completing her degree she was invited to be a part of Jeunes Premiers an French TV talent-scouting programme that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to begin her professional acting career. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church as a young girl and was raised Catholic. But she has now distanced herself with this background. Her acting and modelling careers were intertwined. Tautou was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. A keen photographer, she produced a recent exhibition at the Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities in addition to fame. It also features portraits of herself and special focus on journalists who have closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid popularity after Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first major role starring in the role of the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international acclai box office success and was acclaimed at awards ceremonies all over the world. It is the top-grossing French film made in America. After this huge success, Tautou went on to star in numerous films, which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
